• How much should I spend on a wedding DJ?

  That depends on how much value you place on the music at your wedding reception. If it’s low priority, then it doesn’t make sense booking a high-end wedding DJ. But if you want your wedding to be the party of your life then we recommend allocating enough of your budget to book a wedding DJ who has the skills to achieve that.

• Can we give you song requests?

  Absolutely! In fact, we prefer it if you give us a handful of songs that are special to you and your guests to help get us started.

  We may be massive music nerds, but we’re not mind-readers. It helps us out if you let us know the kind of music you love to dance to and which songs are guaranteed to get your crew on the dance floor.

• Can we tell you what songs we don't want to hear?

  You sure can. We encourage you to let us know which songs put your teeth on edge so we don’t play them by mistake. Having said this, we also recommend you think of your guests. You may not want to listen to ‘old people’ music, but if you have actual old people at your wedding, it’s nice to give them something to dance to, at least at the beginning of the night.

• Can we just book you for a couple of hours at the end of the night?

  Nope, and we’ll tell you why.

  We set up before your reception starts so we’re finished before your guests arrive. The last thing you want is for your DJ to rock up half way through dinner and start sound-checking during speeches.

  For this reason, we charge by the event and not per hour (also see ‘How much should I spend on a wedding DJ’). 

• But, what if we want an acoustic artist to play during dinner?

  We’re super happy to work in with acoustic artists or other live acts. If you’ve booked someone else for your dinner music, we’ll still be set up before your reception starts, and can DJ between their sets. We’ll be ready to go as soon as they’ve finished.

• Can we book you for our wedding ceremony?

  Yes, we can also cover your wedding ceremony music. Let your celebrant concentrate on marrying you, and we’ll take care of the music from the moment your guests arrive to when you walk back up the aisle as a newly married couple.

• Do you play music during dinner?

  Our wedding reception package includes five hours of music which covers the average wedding reception from your Grand Entrance, through dinner and speeches, and up to your last song at the end of the night.

• What the heck does 'Cut a Rug' mean, anyway?

  It means ‘to dance’ and has nothing to do with actual rugs or carpets.
